Why Use Assurance Title?

Wisconsin title insurance rates are now regulated and chances are the cost will be the same wherever you have your title work completed. To "assure" you receive the lowest rate on a real estate sale, finding the existing title policy can save the seller hundreds of dollars. Be prepared and ask your seller to locate their title policy upfront. Our staff will be happy to assist you with this and we will give Re-Issue Rate on any other title company's prior title. Housing Market Continues to Strengthen

Wisconsin existing home sales jumped 9.2 percent in April 2013 compared to April 2012, representing 22 straight months of positive sales growth in the state. Median prices climbed by a solid margin, growing 7.8 percent over the past year to $138,000, according to the most recent statistical report released by the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA).

In Winnebago County, median prices increased 14% over April 2012 to $128,500, while the percent increase of number home sales remained consistent with the state average of 9.2 percent.

WRA reports that very favorable mortgage rates have gotten some buyers off the fence and into the market over the last few months. Therefore, trade-up buyers are having very little problem selling their existing homes, which helps explain why higher-end homes are moving more quickly than they have in the past. Despite increasing prices, housing in the state remains very affordable.

This news bodes well for our industry as we put the economic downturn behind us and look toward a more positive future.

When Assurance Title Services, Inc. opened for business August 30, 1984, I served as the General Manager and later went on to purchase the company on July 31, 1986. From the start, I wanted to provide the professionalism and quality seen in other title companies, but also provide additional services they didn't offer. And so it began, Assurance Title's pledge to all customers-"safety, certainty and confidence."
